The future of concerts

The new socially distant economy has created challenges and opportunities galore for everyone, and every industry, Few industries have been hit harder than entertainment. And, while the show must go on — in this COVID era it simply can’t (at least for now) in the same way that we all know.

Sure, drive-in shows, virtual concerts from living rooms and select small venue gigs continue, but what does this all mean for the future of concerts, concert promotion, touring and events as a whole?

The shows will go on. But how?

At Launch Live, a custom, high-touch experience business based in Milwaukee, the answer isn’t easy but becoming more clear as the pandemic lingers on.

Here are four predictions from Launch Live CEO Chris Kroening.

Physical and digital

We live now in an even more overstimulated social and digital world, this won’t change. No matter when large, in-person shows return concerts and your concert tickets will be anchored with both a physical and digital component. Acts, tours, and venues will have to adapt to provide the concert-goer exclusive content and opportunities both in-person and online. Post-concert downloads, exclusive tracks, artist messages delivered to our phones, custom audio…
