Milwaukee’s past and people have created a genuine feeling and concrete principles that you just don’t get in other cities. Principles unique to the area, that I believe, can transfer to any city or community.
When I get asked to define Milwaukee in three words, my answer is “Lack of Pretense.” This principle and quality in our community are inherent in our culture and deep seeded here.
My suggestion for your city? Face your fears, embrace the unforgettable, and be who you are.
Don’t try to be like the bigger city next to you, don’t try to be the next “Austin,” just embrace the authentic qualities within your community.
