Find your city’s fresh water
Milwaukee’s lack of pretense has created a genuine feeling and concrete principles that you just don’t get in other cities. Principles unique to the area, I believe, can transfer to any city or community.
Principle number three (3):
Make it fresh (water)
With easy access to Lake Michigan, Milwaukee’s made some of the world’s best beers/ Brew City wouldn’t have happened without this natural resource. It’s also led to a coffee culture — another brewed beverage — that’s second to none.
More importantly, access to clean, fresh water has powered our manufacturing sector for years. We are a city built on water and our global Water Council works tirelessly to advocate and advance water stewardship and to solve critical water challenges through innovation and technology and the emergence of programs, start-ups, and projects.
What natural resource near your community helps translate into fresh new businesses?
