Downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s heart
Milwaukee is Wisconsin’s economic and entertainment heart. Its energy flows to the rest of the state as it welcomes visitors, new businesses, new corporate headquarters, and its more than 42,000 daily residents and 90,000 jobs.
What’s your connection to Downtown? Too often, I’m surprised when people tell me that they “never go Downtown.” Why not?
Sure, life is busy — I get it. Your city and community have entertainment options, too. But nothing is as exciting as a trip Downtown.
Since 2010, more than $4.6 billion have been invested in new projects in Wisconsin’s heart. As you walk around, look up and you’ll see a fascinating mix of old, new, and coming soon. There’s an energy that comes from this mix that you can only get in Downtown Milwaukee.
It’s walkable, easy to park (fight me on this, it’s easy), connected via the streetcar, The Hop (and its coming soon extension to the Lakefront), and is home to the state’s best pizza at Calderone Club. Sure, Calderone has a second location in Fox Point and you should visit that one too, but come Downtown for the experience as well.
