25+ Milwaukeeans, including my wonderful family, depicted in new Downtown window displays

Jake, Stephanie, Jeff and Pierce Sherman and Davide Lee

The Shermans are a Downtown neighborhood family.

We don’t live in Milwaukee’s Downtown anymore, but we do own our condo there still … so, each and every day we promote, position and protect Wisconsin’s vibrant heart by being advocates and evangelists for all that the area has to offer.

The density, diversity and discovery that Downtown offers are all truly special. At more than 30,000 in residential population, Milwaukee’s Downtown is about the people.

So, it’s exciting for our family to be a part of a new holiday tradition in Milwaukee. Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, in partnership with Retailworks Inc., has illuminated four Downtown Milwaukee storefronts with local “star power.”

Featuring the likenesses of more than 25 well-known Milwaukeeans, these decorated windows will promote shopping local this holiday season, while also raising the visibility of prime street-level retail spaces for lease in Downtown Milwaukee.

Mauricio Ramirez,Omar Shaikh and Emily Phillips

Storefronts will be refreshed seasonally and remain decorated for several months or until the spaces are leased to a tenant.

Milwaukeeans featured in the display include:

  • Beth Weirick, Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21
  • Ian Abston, Light the Hoan
  • Rebecca Button, Historic Third Ward Association
  • Shawna Nicols, Milwaukee Bucks
  • Omar Shaikh, O & B Consulting, 3rd Street Market Hall
  • Judge Derek Mosley, City of Milwaukee
  • Jeff and Stephanie Sherman (kids Pierce and Jake, too)
  • Tracy Johnson, CARW
  • Mauricio Ramirez, muralist
  • Davide Lee, Imagine MKE
  • Sarah Fierek, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee
  • Cory Jo Biddle, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce
